Hello, I’m Yuko Takayama. I’m a National Licensed Tour Guide Interpreter and also have an Authorized Tour Conductor in Japan Certificate. I translate English/Japanese.I enjoy introducing Japan and Japanese culture to those who are interested. Travelers, those moving to Japan or those having business in Japan, or even excursions for those families staying in Japan might find it useful to learn some common customs and phrases. Some knowledge of Japanese history also helps when interacting with people or watching traditional events.
Spending around five years in the U.S. Midwest helped me to understand the culture and language there. Eventually I changed direction and started teaching Japanese language to locals in my town, and once I returned to Japan I decided to continue this since it was so much fun.
